Megan is a certified health coach, blogger, cook, vegetable connoisseur and chocolate lover. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in business, Megan returned to her hometown of Dallas to work for EDS and then Hewlett-Packard. She now works in healthcare marketing in addition to practicing as a health coach. Megan completed her training and graduated in 2010 from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York.
Working in the corporate world and having two jobs, Megan understands the challenges of living a healthy life while having a life. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in her early 20s, Megan learned the importance of really listening to her body. Honing that skill took practice, but over time she learned to give her body what it needs to feel 100 percent. On her ever-continuing journey, Megan discovered a passion for healthy living, nutrition and whole foods cooking. Oh, and we should also mention that through it all she lost 10 pounds without counting a single calorie.
As a health coach, Megan helps people eat better, find more energy, lose weight, prevent disease, learn to cook and get healthier through small, manageable steps. The same way a trainer pushes you in the gym, Megan gives you that push when it comes to the choices you make every day.
Megan’s other interests include music, fashion, yoga and UT football.
Megan offers individual and group health coaching. She also teaches cooking classes, guides grocery store tours, and gives workshops and lectures.
