My name is Ruthie Guten. I founded DFW Health Coaches in an effort to provide a presence in the DFW Region for certified health coaches who have graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My intent is to provide a common space for certified health coaches to collaborate on events of regional significance.
As a retired public works director and a previous member of several key regional planning committees, I am aware of the outreach efforts that are required to create healthy communities. Education and support are key components required by those that have undertaken a journey towards health and wellness.
The first event which the DFW Health Coaches undertook was to host several events in conjunction with Food Day:
- The Addison Wellness Expo
- The Texas Veggie State Fair
- A FREE film screening of the film FOOD MATTERS at Studio Movie Grill
- An Interactive Discussion and Cooking Demonstration at the Richardson Civic Center.
In the future, we will offer many different programs and events and are available to provide classes, cooking demonstrations, film screenings, grocery store tours, and many other services to our community. Please contact me if you have a suggestion for an upcoming event.
